Microsoft is opening up their Windows Holographic platform to other headset makers, which includes those companies who make virtual reality headsets like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
In the above video Microsoft shows how these devices can work together in a shared reality which includes mixed reality and virtual reality to get real work done.
