One HoloLens is interesting, but it's when we have a shared mixed reality when the devices become really powerful, as we have seen in numerous Microsoft and other productivity scenarios.
It turns out that the technology is also useful for fun, as can be seen in this demo video by augmented reality startup ARMark, who's marketing manager Joyce Kuo posted the video below showing an anime fight featuring 2 HoloLens-bearing players wearing virtual horse heads and throwing fire and energy ball spells, being recorded by a 3rd HoloLens.
Of course, besides the low frame rate, the great weakness of the demo is that it would cost at least $9000 to replicate, but hopefully when a range of more affordable mixed reality headsets are released by other OEMs we will see some real augmented reality games which will put Pokemon Go to shame.
