PayPal is killing its Windows Phone app

paypal

PayPal is sunsetting its Windows Phone app on June 30th. The company recently rolled out major updates for its Android and iOS apps with a new design and more features – however, these new changes won't be coming to the Windows Phone app. Unfortunately, the company has decided to kill its Windows Phone app. This means that PayPal users will have to use the PayPal web app which will simply provide an awful experience for most users. PayPal stated:

For Windows Phone users, we will sunset the current version of the PayPal app on June 30. However, Windows Phone users can still access PayPal through our mobile web experience on Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers. Outlook.com users can also use the PayPal add-in to send money directly from their inbox.

Alongside its Windows Phone app, PayPal is also killing its apps for Amazon Fire and BlackBerry apps. Hopefully, PayPal is working on a Windows 10 app which will be a really nice replacement for its web app.
