Microsoft recently sent out invites to its upcoming Office event on November 2nd. Today, the company announced that the event will be live-streamed, and users will be able to watch the event live on their devices.  At the event, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella will possibly introduce a major new product. In addition to Nadella, Office's Corporate Vice President, Kirk Koenigsbauer will also be talking at the event.

In an email to MSPoweruser, a Microsoft spokesperson stated that the company will be discussing the "changing nature of collaboration" and how the company plans to "empower every team to achieve more". This clearly suggests that Microsoft will be launching Microsoft Teams at the event, which we exclusively reported about last month. The product was initially called "Skype Teams", but Microsoft later decided to change the name to "Microsoft Teams". We are told that the company will be introducing Microsoft Teams as a "group chat software" for teams, and it will be part of the Office suite of apps.

Microsoft Teams, for those unfamiliar, is essentially a communication tool for teams. The service will come integrated with many Microsoft services, including things like OneDrive, Skype, Word, etc. Microsoft Teams will be a cross-platform app, meaning that it will be accessible from a Windows PC, Mac, Android smartphone, iPhone, Windows Phone, and the Web, too.

Microsoft's Office event will start at 11AM ET (that's 15:00 GMT) and it will only be a 1-hour long event. You will be able to watch the live stream here.
