Box today announced a major upgrade for its Notes service. The company introduced a completely new design for its web app, which makes it much easier to take notes from one central hub. In a blog post, the company detailed:
The more you work in Box Notes, the more it develops into a space of truly valuable knowledge – thoughts, ideas, summaries, records. But knowledge is only useful if you can find it when you need it. We've added a new sidebar that allows you to create new notes, access recently edited notes and bookmark favorite notes, all in one place. There's no more digging through folders to find the note you had open yesterday – everything is available when and where you need it. We've also simplified the layout and navigation, and added 19 keyboard shortcuts to help you get what you need even faster.
Box also introduced a new Notes app for Windows and Mac today. The web app for Box Notes on Windows and Mac is really important as the app is based on the web app. To be more specific, the app is based on the Electron framework which uses the web app at the core. If you use Box, you can get the Windows app from Box's website here.
