Dell has announced two new monitors aimed at business users this week at CES. – The Dell 24 Monitor for Video Conferencing and the Dell 24 Touch.
While both monitors have the sam basic specs- 24″ Full HD displays, Dell has tweaked them both to reflect the needs of the market they address. The Dell 24 Touch for one has a touch screen and supports Windows gestures with anti-fingerprinting and glare ap[plied to the Display.
In contrast, the Dell 24 Monitor for Video Conferencing features camera features, with a built in camera which adds support for Windows Hello authentication and video conferencing.
The Dell 24 for Video Conferencing has the following highlight features
- Built-in 2 megapixel Full HD IR camera with privacy shutter, noise-cancelling microphone and dual 5W speakers.
- Certified to work with Microsoft® Skype for Business.
- Full HD screen clarity and consistent colours across a wide viewing angle ideal for group conferencing
In comparison, the Dell 24 touch has more features built around touch and display quality.
- Anti-glare touch panel reduces distracting reflection and fingerprints, improving viewing clarity.
- Unique articulating stand with height-adjustment, plus extended tilt and swivel capabilities lets user position the screen in the ideal position for touch navigation.
- Intuitive 10-point touch, compatible with Windows® 10 provides smoother navigation across the anti-glare surface.
- Narrow bezels ideal for dual monitor setup.
- Dell Easy Arrange facilitates tiling of desktop applications to aid multitasking.
- Voice-activated Microsoft Cortana*** digital assistant allows hands-free initiation of simple tasks
- Dell ComfortView and anti-glare, flicker-free screen help optimize eye comfort
They will be available from the 12th of January 2017 and start at $329.99 for the Touch Monitor and $399 for the Non-Touch Monitor.
