HP makes some really beautiful looking devices for consumers, but the company is also making some pretty good looking devices for its business customers. The company today unveiled the new EliteBook x360 at CES 2017, which is the latest addition to its line of business devices running Windows 10. The HP EliteBook x360 sports a similar design which we have seen in the HP Spectre line, so if you have used an HP Spectre device in the past, you will probably like this device.
HP says the EliteBook x360 is the world's "thinnest business convertible" which isn't really surprising to see as most business devices focus on functionality rather than the design. The device sports a 13.3-inch 4K UHD display, but HP Will also be selling an FHD model. The device also packs Intel's latest Kabylake Core i5 or i7 vPro processors, up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and PCIe SSDs.
As the name of the device implies, the EliteBook x360 features a 360-degree hinge which allows it to transform into five different modes: laptop, tablet, conference and media. The device also has audio tuned by Band & Olufsen which should produce crisp sound when compared to the run-of-the-mill speaker.
What's more important for a device like this is security and battery life, but HP seems to have done a pretty solid job when it comes to the device's battery life and security. The EliteBook x360 can offer up to 16 hours and 30 minutes of battery life, and you can charge 50% of the battery in just 30 minutes which is quite impressive for a convertible. For security, HP is packing its HP Sure Start Gen3 self-healing BIOS-level protection, HP Device Access Manager, HP SpareKey, and HP Secure Erase which will keep your data safe. The device also features Windows Hello's Face Recognition and a fingerprint scanner, which will make logging into your device a lot easier.
The HP EliteBook x360 will be available later this month, pricing details is yet to be revealed.
