Report: Microsoft to acquire Hexadite, an Israel-based cybersecurity company

Last month, Calcalist reported that Microsoft is planning to acquire Cloudyn, an Israel-based startup offering multi-cloud monitoring and optimization solution. While Microsoft has not yet officially confirmed this news, Calcalist today reported that Microsoft is planning to acquire Hexadite, another Israel-based cybersecurity company for about $100 million.

With a massive increase in cyber attacks and the subsequent explosion of alert volume, there is a need for a solution that lets organizations go from alert to remediation in minutes at scale. Hexadite claims that they have the only agentless intelligent security orchestration and automation platform that can serve global companies. Hexadite works with existing security detection tools inside an organization. Modeled after the logic and processes used by top cyber analysts and driven by artificial intelligence, Hexadite investigates every alert in seconds and allows you to take action.

If this report turns out to be true, Hexadite will be Microsoft's fourth security acquisition from Israel following AoratoAdallom and Secure Islands.
