In the detailed blog post Microsoft recently released about stats from this years E3 conference, Microsoft also noted that the preorders for the limited launch edition 2TB Xbox One S are off to an amazing start. In an addition to this, Microsoft also noted that it's retail partners are very enthusiastic about the launch of the console, such as senior vice president of Merchandising for GameStop Bob Puzon who had this to say; "With all the new innovation we've seen and experienced with Microsoft's new Xbox One S console, we anticipate this creating excitement among our customers. The new sleek design and the ability to watch Blu-Ray movies and stream video in 4K Ultra HD with HDR is sure to make the new Xbox One console one of our most sought after products when it launches later this year."

The 2 TB system, which launches in August, cost only $400 to own. The 1 TB model will go for $350, and the 500 GB model for only $300. Both are slated to arrive sometime later this year. The newer model is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One and has an internal power supply, supporting 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray movies and content streamed from partners like Netflix and Amazon Video. High Dynamic Range (HDR) support for video and gaming will deliver richer, more luminous colors in games like "Gears of War 4."

No specific numbers were given for the number of preorders, but on the verge of the new Scorpio console coming next year, many gamers may be holding out for the most powerful gaming console. However if you're interested in preordering the Xbox One S, you can do that here.
