Microsoft announces new Office 365 Threat Intelligence

One of the main advantage Microsoft has over its rivals is their experience of running consumer and enterprise services at scale. They have several properties like Office 365, Outlook.com and Bing which gives them some distinct advantages from a security standpoint. With millions of activities going on in Office 365 at any given point in time, they have sea of signals from which they can surface anomalies to quickly identify, anticipate and mitigate real and potential threats.

To make use of this advantage, they are announcing Office 365 Threat Intelligence, among other Office 365 security enhancements, that help customers protect their networks, intercept threats, and respond to security incidents. Office 365 Threat Intelligence provides alerts and information on the origination of specific attacks, integrates with existing security incident event management (SIEM) systems, and enables customers to deploy dynamic policies based on the nature of the threat.
