MSPoweruser has been in Atlanta this week for the beginning of the Microsoft Ignite conference. Vernon was able to meet up with veteran Microsoft tech blogger and podcaster, Richard Hay. The two give their first impressions of the key items announced at this year's Ignite conference. (Please forgive the poor audio quality. This was recorded during breakfast.)
Here are some of the things we talked about from Microsoft Ignite in the podcast:
- Intelligence
- Tap for Word and Outlook
- Quick Starter for PowerPoint
- Delve Analytics is changing into MyAnalytics
- Maps for Excel
- Security
- Outlook
- Focused Inbox for Outlook O365, Outlook.com, and Windows 10 Mobile (already on Android and iOS)
- Black theme for Outlook O365 will soon include the preview pane
- Cloud
- Windows Server 2016
- Data Centers
- Improvements in large-scale super computing
- Adobe partnership
- Free containers (dockers) for Windows Server 2016
Be sure to follow Vernon and Andy at @VernonEL and @FusionFan45, and the site at @mspoweruser. We'd also like to thank Richard Hay again for taking time out of his busy schedule at Ignite to chat with us. He can be found online at WindowsSupersite.com where he writes and podcasts, and on Twitter at @WinObs.
