Microsoft reveals OneDrive roadmap, flow integration and more coming in H1 2017

Microsoft OneDrive team today spoke about the journey of OneDrive over the years and revealed their future roadmap in a session at Ignite conference today. Over 10B files are getting uploaded to OneDrive each month and its size grows 25PB each month. The service saw 100% growth in YoY active users and had 99.999% sync reliability.

Yesterday, Microsoft announced some major updates coming to OneDrive for Business and SharePoint online. They also revealed that placeholders are coming back in different form called On-Demand Sync.

Today, they revealed their future roadmap. Check out the slide below. You can find a long list of features coming to users and IT Pros in Q4 2016 and in H1 2017.

Some of the notable features coming in the future includes New UX on iPad and Android, Bring your own key support, support for Microsoft Flow, ability to move files from OneDrive to SharePoint, Offline folders on mobile and max path length increase.
