Fun fact: Microsoft used a robot to shoot the Surface Studio introduction video

Microsoft's Surface Studio introduction video is definitely one of the best introduction videos for a tech product in the past few years. The video has beautiful music, along with some great cinematography. Now, here's a fun fact: Microsoft actually used a high-speed camera robot to shoot (some portions) of the Surface Studio introduction video. The robot is from Motorized Precision, and it's called "Kira". At the Windows 10 event, Microsoft actually had Kira on the demo area which is, indeed, pretty cool.

We got a chance to talk a bit with a spokesperson from Motorized Precision who also revealed to us that Kira has a Windows app (called "MP Studio") which allows users to control the movement of the robot. The app has a sophisticated user interface which is where users have to configure the movement of the robot — but the interesting thing about the app is that it also lets users control Kira with their Xbox One controller. When you connect the Xbox One controller to your Windows 10 PC, you'll be able to "unlock" the robot from the MP Studio app — after that, you can literally control the movement of the robot using your Xbox One controller. Here is a video showing off Kira in action:

In case you haven't heard about the Surface Studio, it's Microsoft's latest Surface product which includes a 28-inch 4.5K PixelSense touch display that can produce more than a billion possible colors. The device is powered by Intel's 6th gen Core i7 or i5 processors, NVIDIA GTX 980M GPU, up to 32GB of RAM, and you can get up to 2TB of SSD for the storage.
