Microsoft has confirmed that they are moving forward with the long-rumoured Gears of War movie with the help of Universal Pictures.
First announced in 2007, today Rod Fergusson, studio head of the developers at The Coalition, announced that the project has finally been greenlit.
"Scott Stuber ("Ted" series, "Central Intelligence") and Dylan Clark ("Planet of the Apes" series, "Oblivion") will produce for their Universal-based Bluegrass Films. In addition, Executive Vice President of Production Jon Mone will oversee the project for Universal and Senior Vice President Jay Ireland will oversee for Bluegrass."
At this stage no stars, director or release date has been announced yet.
