Playcast is a universal Windows media from the developers of Tubecast for YoutTube which has the purpose of allowing users of the app to cast media from one device or cloud service to another screen. With Playcast installed on your devices, you can cast media from your Windows 10 PC or Windows 10 phone to a Chromecast device or other media receiver through one convenient interface.
With the current update to the Playcast app, it now supports the Xbox One family of devices, meaning you can now use your Xbox to watch media you have stored either on your device, on OneDrive or other cloud storage apps, as well as cast your media to other TVs in the house (though this may not be as useful on an Xbox). The new update also adds support for Chromecast Audio Multiroom for all devices, this allows you to stream music to several speakers for a synchronised effect.
