Microsoft delays new Windows 10 Mobile Insider build to investigate blocking bug

Microsoft may have released new Windows 10 Insider builds for PCs in the last week, but fans of Windows 10 Mobile will have noticed that the latter has been left behind. There's a good reason for that.

Microsoft Insider head Dona Sarkar revealed on Twitter with the release of Windows 10 Build 15025 that the firm is now investigating an issue which is blocking new builds for mobile users.

While specifics of what the issue is exactly are not yet revealed, some users have complained in the past of not being able to get the newest Insider build due to the update freezing and failing to complete its download and installation. I would note that I have also experienced this bug as well with the last build, so this could (speculatively speaking) be an effect of the blocker bug Microsoft referring to here.

Regardless, Microsoft is working on it, and they should have a fix out – with a  corresponding within the month – and hopefully in time for the new Creators Update Bug Bash.

Microsoft is expected to release the Windows 10 Creators Update for PCs and Mobile devices starting from the month of April 2017. While the update is PC focused so far, the firm is bringing new payment infrastructure to Edge on Windows 10 Mobile, as well as a new e-book store and e-reader functionality to Microsoft Edge.
