Microsoft today announced that the Beam app is coming to members in the Xbox Insider Program. Just like the native Beam broadcasting feature which was rolled out earlier this month, the Beam app will roll out to select members of the Xbox Insider Program.
With the new Beam app, gamers can watch, chat, and interact with their game streamers in near real-time, just like they were doing on the web. They can also browse, search and follow the game streams they are interested in, as well as earn Sparks and Experience Points (XP) while viewing.
Microsoft also announced that ProperProductions is joining as an official Beam partner. They will stream all sorts of games and anyone can watch them daily from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. CST. They are also planning to reveal more partners soon.
