Chillr is a popular service in India that lets users quickly transfer money to friends. The service works with 44 banks in Indian, and users can also use it to pay their utility bills right from the app. Well, that's no longer the case if you own a Windows Phone.
We've recently started receiving several tips from our readers who are reporting that the Chillr app is no longer functional in Windows Phone. The app no longer allows users to transfer money, and one of our readers reached out to Chillr support regarding the issue. In response, Chillr's support team confirmed that they are indeed dropping support for the Windows Phone app:
"Apologies for the inconvinience caused while using the app. Unfortuately, you will not be able to use Chillr on your Windows device, as support for Windows OS has been discontinued.
You will be able to use Chillr hassle free on Android and iOS devices."
Chillr isn't the only company dropping support for their Windows Phone app, as a number of other companies have been discontinuing their Windows Phone apps lately. As Windows Phone's market share continues to decline, we'll probably see more of this happening in the coming months.
