Windows 10's My People feature is finally here…if you are an Insider. My People in Windows 10 was initially supposed to come with the Creators Update earlier this month, but it's instead coming with the upcoming Redstone 3 update later this year. Today, Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 15184 to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring, which brings the new My People experience to Insiders.
The My People experience in Windows 10 isn't fully ready at the moment, but it still includes most of the features Microsoft demoed earlier this year. Right now, you can pin people to your taskbar and be able to interact with them. Once you add someone to the taskbar, you can start a conversation with them via Skype or send them an email using the Outlook Mail app in Windows 10. There's also a button which lets you access all of your contacts/people in Windows 10, making it much easier to start a conversation with someone whenever you need,
One of the most interesting features of My People, known as Shoulder Taps isn't available just yet. Shoulder Taps essentially had a really cool animation for emojis whenever a contact sent you an emoji in an app like Skype. This feature will likely arrive with a newer build in the near-future, and we'll let you know once that happens.
We'll take a closer look at My People later today, so make sure to keep an eye out for that.
