Last week at its Windows 10 event, Microsoft announced a sweet new upgrade to the Surface Book. The company is calling the improved Surface Book the "Surface Book with Performance Base" which offers 30% more battery life than the original Surface Book, a redesigned thermal system, Intel's 6th gen Core i7 processors, but it's also a bit thicker and heavier than the original Surface Book. Microsoft has been taking pre-orders for the new Surface Book on its official stores since last week — but, you can now get the device from Amazon as well.
Amazon is only selling the 512GB and 1TB variant of the new Surface Book with Performance Base, so you will have to get the 256GB variant from the Microsoft Store if you aren't willing to spend for than $2400.
Along with the Surface Book with Performance Base, Amazon has also started selling the new Surface accessories that were introduced with the Surface Studio. Amazon is now selling the new Surface Keyboard, Surface Mouse, and the new Surface Ergonomic Keyboard in the United States — however, the Surface Studio itself and Surface Dial isn't available for purchase at Amazon just yet.
