Microsoft is today bringing the Windows 10 Creators Update to the Windows Insider program's Release Preview ring. The company is less than two weeks away from the official rollout of the Creators Update, and it isn't surprising to see the Creators Update landing on the Release Preview ring at this moment. In fact, Microsoft will allow users to manually upgrade to the Creators Update on April 5 — that's next Wednesday, so we are only a few days away before the official rollout begins.
For those wondering, Microsoft is releasing build 15063 of the Creators Update to Insiders in the Release Preview ring who were only able to test cumulative updates for build 14393 (aka the Anniversary Update) for the past several months.
Earlier this morning Microsoft also released the official ISOs for build 15063, which Windows Insiders can use to perform a clean install on their Windows 10 PCs. As we reported earlier, build 15063 is indeed the RTM build — which means this is the build users will start receiving on their PCs once Microsoft starts the rollout of the Creators Update on April 11.
The Creators Update for Windows 10 brings a slew of new features, ranging from a couple of "creativity" features to even some features for gamers. The update isn't significant for Windows 10 but it is a substantial step in the right direction for the OS. We will have a deeper look in the Creators Update next week, so keep an eye out for that on MSPU!
