Instagram for Windows 10 now lets you share your selfies and food pics to your friends on PCs and tablets. In an update to the app this morning, Facebook enabled the direct messaging feature on Instagram – allowing users to share directly to friends and followers.
Interestingly enough, PC users can still use the camera and webcam feature for direct messages, while they are prohibited from doing so on either regular Instagram posts on Stories.
Ultimately, Instagram is still a mobile-focused app when it comes to photography – not even boasting an iPad optimized app to its name. With that in mind, these somewhat arbitrary content restrictions begin to make sense – while remaining just as frustrating.
