Project Scorpio is Microsoft's vision for what a console upgrade should be. However, the device is much more than that. The company wants to bring high-fidelity virtual reality experiences to gamers and present them with true 4K visuals. When the PlayStation 4 Pro launched all those months ago, it was criticized as having a host of visual problems and not offering a substantial improvement. Games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition exhibited copious frame rate problems on the new device as well. Lastly, the checkerboarding approach to 4K was lambasted by gamers who thought it was deceptive marketing. Microsoft wants to avoid all of this by giving gamers the most powerful console ever created. However, will their promises hold true?
Today, Digital Foundry revealed the console's specifications and as expected, it's an incredibly powerful machine. The internal components are as follows:

Project Scorpio will definitely be able to handle native 4K visuals given its immense power output. A lot of amazing games will support enhanced visuals too which is the most important aspect when you launch a new device.
Hopefully, we'll see more games running on Project Scorpio at E3 2017. From what we've seen so far, it looks like Microsoft has definitely delivered on their promise. Now they just need to get the price point right and they have a sure-shot hit on their hands.
Needless to say, Microsoft is yet to reveal the pricing details and the official name for Project Scorpio, but that is something we will likely get to know at E3. The company is expected to release Scorpio this Holiday.
