Meet Microsoft’s Imagine Cup 2016 World Champion

Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016 World Champion

Imagine Cup is the Microsoft's premier global student technology competition. Last month, Microsoft announced 2016 Imagine Cup World Finalists. These 35 teams came to Seattle to compete in the Imagine Cup World Finals. Today, Team ENTy of Romania emerged as the 2016 Imagine Cup World Champion during a live broadcast and in front of hundreds of students in the Quincy Jones Performing Arts Center at Seattle's Garfield High School. They will have the coveted Imagine Cup and the grand prize, a private mentoring session with our CEO, Satya Nadella. ENTy's project is an app for monitoring balance and posture.

ENTy is a high-tech wearable device that tracks the balance of the internal ear and checks the spine posture in real time. In its current, beta form, ENTy is the size of a door key, is worn on the back or head and based on its unique algorithm and the data from the sensors (accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope), can tell if you have a good balance / problems with your internal ear and reproduces your posture in real time. Our product uniqueness consists in the fact that we have medical validation (we tested ENTy with doctors on 500 pacients) and even the ENT doctors will use our device in their patient's diagnosis.
