Last week, we reported that the HP Elite x3 will get the Windows 10 Anniversary Update in the coming weeks. Today, the company has reportedly started rolling out the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to the Elite x3, along with a new firmware. If you have an Elite x3, just head over to the Settings app > Update & Security > Phone Update and then Check for updates to receive the new updates which are titled as "HP Update for Windows Phone". The new firmware is version 0002.0000.00067.0088, reports Windows Central.
As we reported a few weeks ago, the new firmware update brings a number of new features to the Elite x3 — including things like Double Tap To Wake, Iris Anti-Spoofing, Iris Preview, and much more. The update also introduces the ability to use Continuum while the Elite x3's display is locked, which is a really neat feature. In addition to these features, the new firmware update also introduces a new app called the "HP 12C Financial Calculator for X3″ which has a pretty weird design but offers a lot of functions compared to the stock Calculator app on Windows 10. Lastly, the update also fixes random reboots caused by the camera app and it should also improve the performance of the device slightly.
If you own an Elite x3, go ahead and install the latest updates — but don't forget to let us know if you notice any other new features in the comment section below.
