Windows 10 now powers 400 million active devices

Back in June, Microsoft's Windows 10 powered more than 350 million active devices. At its Ignite conference today, Microsoft announced that the operating system now powers 400 million active devices — gaining just about 50 million devices in 3 months. The growth of Windows 10 has obviously slowed down, and that's not really surprising as the free upgrade offer ended just back in July. The software giant is still quite far away from its original goal of having 1 billion active devices by 2018 — interestingly enough though, Microsoft executives already think that the OS won't be able to get 1 billion active devices by mid-2018.
