Microsoft’s Groove Music app for iOS now lets you share private playlists on social media, preview songs

Late last month, Microsoft updated its Groove app for Windows and Windows 10 Mobile with a new sharing icon and the ability to share Private Playlists with family and friends via social media. Now the firm has also rolled out that update to Apple's platform, incorporating the newer Groove features into the app.
Now iPhone users can share their playlists to WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook for their family and friends to download and listen  provided they have a compatible Groove version of course (this means Windows 10 Mobile, Windows and iOS as Android users do not yet have the update). For non Groove Music Pass users, Microsoft is also now letting new users preview Music Pass files instead of having to pay for a Groove Pass or try out a Groove Pass.
Microsoft's Groove Music service has improved by leaps and bounds on iOS and Android since last year, picking up music service staples like curated playlists and a "Your Groove" feature. With Groove Music being the primary music service for Windows 10, it only makes sense that the mobile apps be improved to draw in new consumers.
Here's the full changelog:
  • Share your personal playlists with friends on social media, in email, and in other apps
  • Not decided on Groove Music Pass? Previews for millions of songs let you hear what you're missing
The app update is rolling out in the App Store now and you can download Groove Music for the iPhone here.
