Microsoft Translator brings support for Bangla text translation

Microsoft has announced today on twitter that it's translator app now supports the Bangla, the official language of the Indian subcontinent of Bangladesh. This new text translation language pack is available for Windows, Android, Kindle, iOS, and on the web via http://translate.it.

The app has seen a rash of updates recently, with support for Japanese and Hindi transliteration, Outlook integration, new group conversation feature and more. Bangla is also one of the many supported languages in Microsoft's new Translator Live feature, which translates in-person conversations in real time with up to 100 speakers using their own smartphones, tablets, or PCs. The video below gives a detailed presentation of this interesting feature.

In addition to this, the Bangla language is also available as an instant messaging language in both the Skype desktop app and Skype for Windows.

For those who don't already have the Microsoft Translator app, you can find the app for Windows here, and for other platforms in thier respective app stores.
