Microsoft’s Surface Studio and Surface Book (2016) are coming to Europe, Asia and Australia this Easter

Despite the general critical acclaim that greets modern Microsoft Surface devices, there is one complaint that has followed the firm since its first iteration of the line – availability. Microsoft's Surface launches are often US-Centric, with other countries getting devices months or even years later.

Along with the announcement of the Creators Update for Windows devices in general as well as the Surface Hub, Microsoft is also expanding the availability of its Surface Book with Performance Base to new regions including the United Kingdom, China, and Germany.

The firm will also allow users interested in the Surface Studio to pre-order the Surface Studio and Surface Dial in Australia, Canada and New Zealand from today.  All of these devices go on sale on the 20th of April.

From the blog post announcing the changes:

Surface Book with Performance base is available for pre-order today in Austria, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom and will be available for purchase on April 20th. And, Surface Studio and Surface Dial are available for pre-order today in Australia, Canada and New Zealand and will be available for purchase starting April 20th.

It is unknown at this time when Microsoft plans to bring the Surface Studio to the United Kingdom, Germany, and other European regions. However, an earlier statement from a Microsoft representative indicates that the firm may be looking at a summer timeframe or thereabouts.

For prospective buyers in the above regions,  you can pre-order the Surface Book with Performance Base and Surface Studio from your local Microsoft Store site.
