Microsoft’s latest AI chatbot is aimed towards its Indian customers

Microsoft has a new chatbot powered by artificial intelligence: Ruuh. This is the company's fourth AI chatbot, one of which actually never saw the light of the day. The latest one, Ruuh, is actually aimed at Indian users and is only available on Facebook Messenger at this moment. Ruuh is actually Microsoft's second AI chatbot aimed towards a specific region — the company's first AI chatbot, Xiaoice was for its Chinese customers.

Microsoft is yet to officially announce Ruuh, and details regarding the chatbot are pretty scarce at the moment. But the chatbot's Facebook page includes some info:

Hey, I'm Ruuh, a desi AI who never stops talking. Let's make #fraandship.

Ruuh is a chatbot provided to you for entertainment purposes. She is English speaking and only available to users in India. Do not rely on her statements as advice, counselling or endorsements.

Personal interests of Ruuh includes "Chatting, Bollywood, Music, Humour, Travel & Browsing Internet." We gave Ruuh a try on Messenger today, and it's — well, just like any other chatbot with an Indian flavor. Oh, it's also pretty dumb:

We'll let you know when Ruuh is officially announced, but you can give it a try here.
