In addition to the updates to the Acer Swift series of ultraportables, Acer also announced two new ultra-slim and confusingly named All in One PCs.
It's no Surface Studio, but these two devices are impressive looking on paper nonetheless.
The more expensive Acer Aspire U27 sports a 27 inch Full HD screen in an all-metal chassis with a diamond cut metal stand.
"We [are] extremely excited to be bringing our innovative LiquidLoop fanless cooling system to our all-in-one PCs," said Jeff Lee, General Manager, Stationary Computing, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. "The cooling system has enabled us to create the Aspire U27's award-winning ultraslim design, allowing it to shine as a modern piece of home décor, yet quiet enough to not distract."
The LiquidLoop system referred to above is Acer's proprietary fanless cooling system, that allows the PC to cool itself without being overly noisy. This hasn't been tested yet by anyone, and while it looks promising – marketing always does.
Acer's other confusingly named PC is the Aspire Z24 is a similarly specced PC, albeit with a 24-inch screen, an added optical drive and support for NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics.
Both ship with the Windows 10 – presumably the Creators Update – and will have an additional BlueLightShield feature that helps reduce blue light emission, this will probably work well in tandem with Night Light's blue light reduction feature in Windows 10.
Acer's All-in-One PCs will go on sale in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from June with the U27 starting at €1,299 and the Z24 at €749.
