Razer reveals how it made its latest gaming mouse even better

Razer today unveiled a new wireless mouse for gamers. The company's latest gaming mouse is the Lancehead, and it's not the run-of-the-mill mouse or even a run-of-the-mill gaming mouse. Razer has packed some interesting new tech into the Lancehead, making it the world's "most advanced wireless gaming mouse."

At the heart of the Lancehead, there's Razer's Adaptive Frequency Technology (or AFT, for short). The sensor allows the Lancehead to offer 16,00 DPI, 210 inches per second tracking and 50G acceleration. All of this effectively ensures a lag-free experience while gaming, which can make the difference between winning or losing while gaming, says Razer. The company told us:

Razer's advanced AFT wireless technology ensures industry-leading transmission stability by not only syncing data reporting perfectly between the mouse and the user's system, but also connecting to the strongest interference-free frequencies within the 2.4 GHz band and adaptively hopping only when necessary. The result is lag-free data transmission between the Razer Lancehead and PC that outperforms every other wireless gaming mouse.

The Lancehead also features Razer's Mechanical Mouse Switches that ensure up to 50 million clicks. The new Mechanical Mouse Switches were designed and manufactured incorporation with Omron. The mouse also features two buttons that let gamers change the DPI of the mouse on the fly. The Razer Lancehead will also support the company's upcoming Synapse Pro app, which is now available in beta. The app will essentially allow users to customize the settings for their Lancehead, and it'll also allow users to save their mouse's settings to the cloud which means you will be able to use the same settings for your mouse regardless of which computer you are using it with.

In addition to the wireless variant of the Lancehead, Razer is also selling a Tournament Edition of the mouse that isn't wireless but offers a tracking speed of 450 IPS and a resolution accuracy of 99.4%.
