Sega CD’s 25 year old Night Trap remaster is coming to Xbox One

Limited Run Games stated on twitter that it will release a remastered version of live-action game Night Trap on both Xbox One and PS4. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the title, which originally launched on Sega CD back in 1992.

Night Trap follows five teenage girls who find themselves attacked by vampires. It's up to the players to protect them, though you actually have very minimal input on how the story progresses. This comes after the release of the new FMV game Late Shift, hopefully the resurgence of a new genre of video game.

The game was very controversial when it was inititally released, and was subsequently pulled from publication by Sega for being too violent and sexual at the time. Actually the game was one of the reasons for the current ESRB rating system. Since then however, the game has been ported to other platforms throughout the years, like PC and 3DO. The re-release will come with three different covers as well.

The new game has been rated Teen for violence, blood and suggestive themes.
