Battlefield 1’s Spring Update adds Platoons and fixes numerous issues

Today's Battlefield 1 Spring Update changes the game considerably but the most significant addition has to be Platoons. DICE's focus in this initial release is to add some of the core and most essential Platoons features, such as the Platoon Tag, while building a robust system that they can continue to expand and improve going forward. Everything isn't there but it will be eventually so keep that in mind.

Platoons are like massive clubs of up to 100 players and they're designed to foster a sense of community. They make it so it's easy to determine when and where you teammates are playing. Battlefield 1 is a fiercely competitive game and finding the right players is important. Coordination is key to success so Platoons are curated groups. For example, players can apply to be part of a certain Platoon and some even go as far as to require practice matches on a regular basis or you're out!

The Spring Update not only improves the tools available to the community, but it also fixes a lot of bugs and glitches. Xbox One players will be happy to know that the game no longer freezes when you quickly try to log out on an Operation. That was one of the most aggravating problems and having to restart the game over and over became annoying. Hopefully DICE will continue to put out stellar patches like this so we can enjoy Battlefield 1 for many months to come.
